On 7/23/10 at approximately 1500 hours, Allegany County Communications dispatched the County High Angle Rescue team to Wills Mountain Road for a Rescue Call. The call was for a body recovery over the cliffs from an apparent suicide. On 7/10/2010 the Potomac Fire Company helps out with the Annual Lisa Wade 5K Run through Westernport. The fire company members assist with traffic control along main street in Westernport to ensure the safety of the runners and walkers involved in this event. To view the Photos click “Read More”.

On 7/5/10 at approximately 1400 hours, Allegany County Communications dispatched Stations 22 and 24 for a brush fire behind the homes on Church St. Units accessed the fire on Bank Alley and up the Cow Path between Boals Funeral Home and Kalbaugh St. Chief 22 (Dayton) arrived and established the command. On 7/5/10 at approximately 0430 hours, units from the southside were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Collision on Route 135 near Tri-Towns Plaza. Dispatch reported a vehicle overturned onto the Railroad Tracks. Squad 22 responded with Lt. Whetstone along with Engine 24 and EMS 50. Lt.
